Job summary

ASML US, LP is seeking a First Line Support Production Engineer for the Wilton, CT factory. You will work in the Production Engineering department to provide rapid engineering responses to production disturbances and to support the production operator dashboard.

You’ll spend about 75% of your time in the cleanroom, assisting mechanical assembly, alignment, and testing, while evaluating failed parts and driving root‑cause analyses with cross‑functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or another engineering discipline with 2+ years of experience, or a Master's degree in an engineering field.
• Hands‑on experience with mechanical assembly, alignment, tooling, and test equipment.
• Working knowledge of epoxy application in opto‑mechanical designs.
• Experience with detectors, electro‑optical devices, and opto‑mechanical constructions.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical, optical, and electrical technical drawings.
• Strong troubleshooting and root‑cause problem‑solving capabilities.
• Ability and interest in working approximately 75% of the time in a cleanroom/manufacturing environment.
• Strong ownership, communication, teamwork, and continuous‑improvement mindset.
• Knowledge of MATLAB, LabVIEW, and Python.

Responsibilities

• Provide rapid engineering support in troubleshooting production issues during build, test, and qualification.
• Support production in the cleanroom to protect output and resolve disturbances.
• Develop root‑cause analyses, troubleshooting guidelines, and OCAPs.
• Contribute to PFMEA, manufacturing procedures, diagnostic qualification, and DOA analyses.
• Assist in cycle‑time and labor‑hour improvements.
