Job summary

State Street seeks an experienced Portfolio Manager to join its ETF investment team in Boston. You will manage portfolios, oversee basket activity and fund operations, and help develop new options-based ETF solutions in the Americas.

The role combines day-to-day trading with product innovation, quantitative research, and collaboration across trading, capital markets, product, and risk teams to deliver best-in-class client outcomes and scalable, investable products.

Qualifications

• Experience with options-based strategies, buffer ETFs, or related investment solutions.
• Strong knowledge of listed options, derivatives, volatility markets, and risk management.
• Ability to manage complex portfolios and make sound decisions in dynamic markets.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and commitment to operational excellence.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Portfolio Management for ETF strategies including options and swap-based solutions.
• Oversee daily portfolio monitoring, rebalancing, trading decisions, cash management and risk oversight.
• Monitor exposures, derivatives positions and liquidity to align with objectives and guidelines.
• Support trading across equities, ETFs, listed options, FLEX options, and related instruments.
• Partner with Product Development to design and launch ETF solutions.
• Develop concepts focused on options-based investing, income generation, and outcome-oriented strategies.
• Collaborate with index providers on benchmarks and methodologies.
• Conduct quantitative research on options strategies and backtesting frameworks.
• Analyze option pricing, volatility dynamics, and market structure.
• Provide investment insights to enhance portfolios and new products.
• Work with Capital Markets to improve ETF liquidity and execution.
• Contribute to scalable ETF operating and trading processes.
• Partner with Risk, Compliance, Operations, and Technology to strengthen controls.
