Job summary

Everforth Apex is seeking a Manufacturing - Associate Test Engineer for the Milpitas, CA area. The role focuses on optics-based systems, including powering lasers, aligning beams, calibrations, and inspections to ensure proper tool operation in a Class 100 cleanroom.

You will perform setup, calibration, testing, and troubleshooting of mechanical assemblies, with about 70% optical work and 30% electrical/mechanical tasks.

Qualifications

• Education in electrical or mechanical discipline preferred; technical certificates accepted.
• Experience with optics and lasers mandatory; 5 years with lasers may substitute a degree.
• Hands-on electro-mechanical assembly, testing, troubleshooting, and repair required.
• Experience working in a cleanroom environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up, calibrate, test and troubleshoot mechanical assemblies at system level.
• Power up lasers, align beam path, calibrate and inspect reticles.
• 70% optical and 30% electrical/mechanical troubleshooting.
• Troubleshoot to optics module to identify electrical vs mechanical root cause.
• Produce technical reports summarizing findings and recommendations.
• Work autonomously with general instructions on new tasks.
