Job summary

MKS Inc. in Irvine, CA is seeking an Optics Marketing Engineering Intern for a 6-month, part-time co-op starting in January 2027. You'll collaborate with marketing engineers to research engineering trends and support optics concepts, reporting to the Catalog Optics Product Manager.

This role involves market research, lab testing, and trade show organization, with no travel. You will gain experience across divisions and contribute to pricing optimization and marketing promotions while developing

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a Bachelor's Degree program for Optical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc).
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and is detail oriented.
• US Persons required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct market research on trends, competition, market intelligence, and segment analysis.
• Test optics in a laboratory environment.
• Assist with trade show lab organization and promotions.
• Support pricing optimization activities.
• Assist with marketing promotions.
