Job summary

MKS Inc. in California is seeking an Engineering/Development Co-op/Intern for the Optical Sensing Products division to support new technology development during a 4-month term.

The intern will report to a supervisor within Engineering and complete assigned tasks throughout the tenure. Responsibilities include experimental design and analysis, test equipment development, setup and calibration of optical and thermal characterization equipment, and thorough test documentation with data-driven

Qualifications

Enrolled in a Bachelor’s Degree program in Engineering, Mechatronics, Physics or relevant majors.
Excellent technical, analytical, problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Programming experience with Python, LabVIEW or MATLAB.

Responsibilities

Participate in design, implementation and analysis of experiments on sensing technology.
Design, simulate, construct and validate new test equipment.
Set up and calibrate optical and thermal characterization equipment.
Develop and maintain test documentation including plans, procedures and reports.
Use statistical analysis software to analyze data and draw data-based conclusions.
