Job summary

Adecco Staffing is assisting a company in Acton, MA to hire a CNC Operator/Machinist for a full-time role. The position involves operating and programming manual and CNC machines for optical components, with training available for the right candidate.

Experience with optics is advantageous; Haas and 3-axis CNC familiarity is preferred. The role requires strict attention to detail, ability to work independently or as part of a team, and adherence to safety protocols in a specialized shop

Qualifications

• Experience with machining in optics is a plus.
• Ability to program CNC machines.
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Operate manual and CNC machines used in the production of optical components
• Program and run 3-axis CNC machines (Haas experience is a plus)
• Learn and operate specialized optical machining equipment, including Optipro SX 150 and Optipro PX 200
• Perform quality checks and ensure precision of machined components
• Maintain equipment and keep work area clean and organized
• Follow safety and production protocols at all times
