Job summary

Adecco Staffing is hiring a CNC Machinist for a contract-to-hire role in Keene, NH. You will set up and operate CNC diamond turning, grinding, or polishing machines to produce high-precision optical components while following drawings and work instructions.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of production machining experience, comfort with data entry and metrology, and strong English communication. Shifts run on first and second schedules with competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 1 year of machining experience in a production environment.
• Proficient in setting up and running CNC machines.
• Comfortable using computers for data entry and document review.
• Skilled in using metrology equipment for inspecting precision components.
• Strong English language skills (reading, writing, and verbal communication).

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC diamond turning, grinding, or polishing machines.
• Manufacture high-precision optical components according to engineering drawings and work instructions.
• Perform precision measurements using metrology tools.
• Manually clean optical surfaces with approved solvents and wipes.
• Collect, analyze, and report production data using basic math and statistical knowledge.
• Follow all safety protocols including use of PPE like safety glasses and latex gloves.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work area.
