Job summary

Amphenol Communications Solutions seeks a Global Manufacturing Capacity Engineer to own the CBS capacity planning model across sites in multiple countries, including ramp and NPI support. You will translate forecasts into capacity requirements, manage bottlenecks, and provide executives with risk and investment insights.

You will collaborate with IE, Planning, Operations, Finance, and NPI teams, leveraging Power BI and ERP/MRP data to drive capacity decisions and CapEx planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative/technical field.
• 5+ years in manufacturing capacity planning, IE, or factory modeling.
• Strong knowledge of cycle time, OEE, yield, utilization, and ramp modeling.
• Ability to translate forecasts into machine, line, labor, and capital needs.
• Proficiency with Excel and Power BI; ERP/MRP, MES, SQL or related DBs a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own the CBS global manufacturing capacity planning model across the network.
• Translate forecasts into required production hours, equipment, line capacity, and site loading.
• Define standard capacity assumptions: cycle time, OEE, yield, downtime, utilization.
• Consolidate site capacity data for cross-location comparison (Vietnam, China, Mexico, USA).
• Provide executive visibility of capacity coverage, gaps, and CapEx needs before demand hits.
• Model capacity through NPI and ramp, accounting for equipment, qualification, and learning curves.
• Identify bottlenecks and determine whether constraints are equipment, process, or labor related.
• Evaluate alternative site allocations and tradeoffs for leadership decisions.
• Specify CapEx and equipment requirements with timing and readiness considerations.
