Job summary

Samtec, Inc. seeks an experienced engineer to support optical transceiver solutions for diverse applications. You will collaborate with customers and cross-functional teams, translating requirements into effective technical solutions and providing hands-on design-in support.

The role emphasizes product training, field collaboration, and on-site customer engagement to deliver high-performance interconnect solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (EE/CE/Physics) required.
• Strong communication and analytical skills with ability to explain complex concepts clearly.
• Collaborative, organized, detail-oriented with cross-functional teamwork experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop deep expertise in Samtec optical products, including FireFly Embedded Optical Modules.
• Provide hands-on design-in support with lab characterization, performance measurements, and system-level debugging.
• Apply industry-standard protocols to position Samtec solutions for customer goals.
• Collaborate with sales, FAEs, customers, engineering, and marketing to accelerate product adoption.
• Create and maintain data sheets, application notes, and customer-facing resources.
• Deliver product training and technical presentations for sales teams, partners, and customers.
• Support customers on-site and represent Samtec at trade shows and events.
• Identify market trends and customer needs to influence future products.
