Job summary

AEG Vision in Fort Collins, CO seeks an Optician to provide expert eyewear solutions and outstanding patient care. You will assist patients in selecting frames and lenses, ensure proper fitting, and document prescriptions with precision.

Responsibilities include communicating with patients, doctors, and technicians, updating orders, and educating patients on care, warranties, and insurance benefits. On-site, full-time role supporting a busy eye care practice.

Qualifications

• High School or GED qualification.
• ABO/NCLE preferred but not required.
• Minimum of one-year experience as an Optician preferred.
• HIPAA knowledge/experience preferred.
• PC skills: MS Office, Windows.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients in selecting eyewear and accessories.
• Take measurements and dispense lenses.
• Explain insurance, warranties, pricing, and promotions.
• Coordinate with technicians and doctors to ensure orders.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the practice.
• Enter prescriptions into EHR/ALE systems.
• Handle order status updates and patient communication.
