Job summary

ProMedica Vision Associates in Toledo, Ophthalmology, is seeking an Optician as a Per Diem role. The Optician will evaluate prescriptions, recommend lens materials and frames, and customize eyewear with precise measurements.

Responsibilities include adjusting and repairing eyewear, completing lab tasks such as edging and tinting, and teaching patients how to insert and care for contact lenses. Per diem, daytime shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• At least one year of Optician experience.
• Ohio Optician license required or eligible to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate prescriptions and recommend lens materials, designs and frames.
• Customize eyewear by taking measurements with various devices.
• Make minor adjustments or repairs to eyewear for proper fit.
• Finish lab duties including edging, polishing, tinting and final inspection.
• Teach patients how to insert, remove and care for their contact lenses.
