Job summary

Keplr-Vision-Group is seeking an Optician I to ensure that every patient receives the highest quality of eye care. You will review prescriptions, educate on lens options, assist with frame choices, and perform adjustments or repairs.

You will drive sales by meeting goals while delivering compassionate, professional service. Duties include inventory management, placing orders, and coordinating with physicians; this is a full-time position requiring excellent customer service and adaptability.

Qualifications

• 0–3 years of experience in optical or customer-facing roles.
• Strong customer service and professional presentation are essential.
• Good organizational and multitasking abilities required.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to eyewear sales and repairs.

Responsibilities

• Review Physician’s prescriptions and orders based on medical charts.
• Educate patients on corrective lens options fitting medical needs and lifestyle.
• Provide honest feedback about frame aesthetics.

General Job Description & Responsibilities

The primary responsibility of this position is to ensure that all patients are receiving the best quality of care at all times. Primary responsibilities include:

• Review Physician’s prescriptions and orders based on medical charts


• Educate patients on their corrective lens options and help them make a choice that fits their medical needs as well as lifestyle preferences


• Provide honest but compassionate feedback about aesthetic choices in frames


• Achieve sales goals and quotas as determined by office staff while attending to patients’ specific needs and desires


• Manage inventory of frames and contact lenses to ensure optimum customer satisfaction and product variety


• Communicate with physician with questions or concerns about prescriptions and other eye-related issues


• Perform adjustments and repairs of eyewear


• Place optical orders with a general understanding of insurance benefits

Experience & Skills

Excellent customer service skills and personal presentation are critical to this role. The ideal candidate will have 0-3 years of experience and:

• Good organizational and multitasking abilities

• Professional phone and office etiquette required


• Optical experience is preferred but not necessary-we will train the right person
