Job summary

AEG is seeking an Optician to join our team in Missouri. You will assist patients in selecting eyeglasses and accessories, ensure proper frame fit and accurate lens dispensing, and provide exceptional service that aligns with patient needs and lifestyle.

You will work with technicians and doctors, maintain EHR entries, and educate patients on care, insurance, warranties, and product options while keeping the eyewear area organized and up-to-date.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school education; ABO/NCLE preferred but not required.
• Experience in eyewear sales and patient-facing service is advantageous.
• Familiarity with HIPAA and patient privacy guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Help patients choose eyewear that fits prescription, lifestyle, and style.
• Ensure proper frame fit, measurements, and correct lens dispensing.
• Provide exceptional customer service and product education.
• Take patient orders, update status, and resolve order issues promptly.
• Educate patients on eyewear care, warranties, and insurance basics.
• Enter prescription data into EHR/ALE systems and maintain records.
• Collaborate with technicians and doctors to ensure smooth handoffs.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the eyewear area and displays.
• Stay current on products, rebates, lenses, and frame options.
