Job summary

Warby Parker in Los Gatos is seeking Apprentice Opticians to join our in-house optical team. You’ll work with mentors to learn how to meet customers’ eyewear needs and gain hands-on experience with our frames and lenses.

You will develop skills in measurements, eyewear adjustments, and checking products against optical standards while learning to explain prescriptions and product offerings. This role emphasizes customer service, teamwork, and growth within a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Interest in a medical-oriented role to help people see.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Eager to learn new technical skills and eyewear measurements.
• Detail-oriented with ability to multitask.

Responsibilities

• Learn from a licensed optician or certified optician to meet eyewear needs.
• Learn how to take and record measurements, adjust and fit eyewear.
• Check that finished eyewear meets optical standards and customer requests.
• Explain prescription terminology and product offerings to customers.
• Work with the team to ensure exceptional service for all customers.
• Help customers choose frames and lenses based on prescription, fit, style and lifestyle.
• Collaborate with the team to establish best practices for sales and customer service.
• Represent our brand to educate others and share Warby Parker values.
