Holec and Young Eye Care in Rapid City, SD is seeking a dependable, organized Optician to join our optical team. You will help patients select eyewear, assist with fittings, and ensure a welcoming, patient-centered experience in a busy five-doctor practice.

Responsibilities include placing frame and lens orders in Compulink EHR, handling back-office tasks, processing insurance, and keeping the optical area clean and well-organized while delivering excellent service.

Qualifications

• The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and enjoys working directly with patients in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
• Strong communication skills, professionalism, and excellent organizational abilities are essential.
• Previous experience in optical, customer service, healthcare, or an optometry practice is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional patient care clinically and by creating a customer/patient service experience that is phenomenal for every patient.
• Assist patients with eyewear selection, fitting, adjusting, troubleshooting and dispensing of eyewear.
• Place frame and lens orders within Compulink EHR.
• Perform back-office tasks related to statements, job checkins, pricing, and other administrative duties.
• Clean the optical area including frames, workstations, displays.
• Billing and submitting insurance for eyewear purchases.

Holec and Young Eye Care is seeking a dependable, organized, and patient-focused team member to join our optical team in Rapid City, SD. As a busy five-doctor optometric practice, we are committed to providing exceptional eye care while creating a welcoming experience for every patient who walks through our doors.

Our Opticians play an essential role in delivering outstanding customer service while helping our patients choose eyewear that is both fashionable and functional. If you enjoy working with people, staying organized, and being part of a supportive healthcare team, we'd love to hear from you.

Responsibilities Include:

• Provide exceptional patient care clinically and by creating a customer/patient service experience that is phenomenal for every patient.
• Introduce yourself and assist patients with all aspects of eyewear selection, fitting, adjusting, troubleshooting and dispensing of eyewear.
• Placing frame and lens orders within Compulink EHR.
• Perform all necessary tasks in the back in regard to statements, job checkins, pricing, and other administrative tasks.
• Perform all necessary cleaning of optical area including frames, workstations, displays.
• Perform billing and submitting of insurance for eyewear purchases.

Qualifications:

Previous experience in optical, customer service, healthcare, or an optometry practice is preferred but not required.

Schedule:

This is a full-time position averaging approximately 35-40 hours per week.

Our office is open Monday through Friday, with limited Saturday hours to best serve our patients.

Team members typically work four weekdays from approximately 8:00 AM to 5:45 PM Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday along with every other Saturday from 7:00 AM to 12:15 PM.

Compensation:

Starting from $18.00 per hour. Wage negotiable depending on optical experience.
