Job summary

Tullahoma Vision Associates in Tennessee is seeking an experienced Optical Team Lead to oversee the eyewear department, support the team, drive sales, and manage operations. You will work directly with patients and help grow the practice with a focus on exceptional care.

You will coach Optical Associates, manage frame inventory and vendor relationships, and educate patients on lens options and coatings to enhance the patient experience and department performance.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience in sales or retail is strongly preferred.
• Strong customer service mindset and ability to understand patient needs.
• Experience coaching or developing team members.
• Optical knowledge of frames, lenses and dispensing is a plus.
• Excellent communication, organization and multitasking skills.
• Positive, team-focused attitude and proficient computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee frame inventory, merchandising, ordering, receiving, and vendor relationships.
• Ensure eyewear orders are processed, verified, documented and dispensed accurately.
• Assist patients with frame selection and provide personalized recommendations.
• Educate patients on lens options, coatings, treatments, and eyewear solutions.
• Drive optical sales through personalized recommendations and exceptional service.
• Coach and support Optical Associates to maintain high-quality patient care.
• Monitor performance and identify opportunities to improve sales and workflows.
• Collaborate with leadership to support smooth department operations and cross-coverage.
• Support complex eyewear consultations, adjustments, repairs, and patient concerns.
