Job summary

Shopko Optical seeks an Optical Manager to lead our new Duluth store. You will supervise the optical team, handle dispensing eyewear, patient care and store operations, and partner with the Optometrist to achieve sales and service goals.

You will recruit and train staff, drive customer service excellence, and ensure compliance with company policies while delivering strong financial results.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school education or equivalent required.
• 3 years of leadership or management experience with strong customer service focus.
• Optician experience desired; ABO/Shopko OCE Certification required within 12 months of hire/promotion.
• Proven ability to lead, coach and build relationships in a professional environment.
• Ability to analyze and solve issues and maintain organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead optical team to maximize sales, profit and customer service objectives.
• Hire, train, and manage performance of teammates.
• Coordinate with Optometrist to drive business results and patient care.
• Ensure store compliance with HR policies and federal/state laws.
• Drive merchandising, operations and customer service strategies to meet financial targets.
