Shopko Optical in Duluth, MN is seeking an Optical Manager to lead our brand-new store and team. The General Manager will supervise optical operations, drive sales and patient care, and partner with an Optometrist to deliver excellent eye care and service.

Qualifications

• 3 years of leadership experience or equivalent management experience with strong customer service focus.
• Optician experience desired; ABO/Shopko OCE Certification required within 12 months of hire/promotion; full training offered.
• Proven ability to lead, coach and build relationships in a professional environment.
• Able to direct and motivate a diverse teammate network.
• Able to analyze financial data and drive improvements.
• Solid organizational and planning skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead optical team to maximize sales, profit and customer service objectives.
• Hire, train, coach and manage performance of team.
• Work with Optometrist to drive business results and patient care.
• Ensure compliance with HR policies and applicable laws.
• Develop business plans and monitor actions to drive profitable sales.
• Model service, patient care and selling techniques to maximize satisfaction.
