Job summary

Shopko in De Pere, WI is seeking a Full Time Technical/Store Operations leader to assist the General Manager with daily store functions, dispensing eyewear, patient care, and achieving financial goals.

You will help hire, train, coach, and manage the team, lead in GM's absence, and ensure compliance with policies while delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Supervisory experience with strong customer service in retail/optical.
• Analytical and decisive problem solving.
• Strong organizational and planning skills.
• Ability to analyze financial data and improve performance.
• Ability to motivate a team to deliver results.
• Flexibility to multi-task in a changing environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Lead team to execute merchandising, operational and customer service strategies to deliver planned sales, gross margin and financial results.
• Model service, patient care and selling techniques to maximize customer satisfaction and achieve business objectives.
• Assist with hiring, training and performance management of the store team and scheduling.
• Ensure store is compliant with HR policies and federal/state laws.
• Open/close the store, manage cash office, payroll and alarm responses.
• Drive optical initiatives through team by planning and scheduling appropriately.
• Develop business plans and follow up on actions to drive profitable sales.
• Lead team in General Manager’s absence.
• Act on feedback toward continuous improvement and future leadership opportunities.
