Job summary

Walmart Inc. through Sam’s Club Lewisville seeks an Optical Associate, Non-Certified, to join the team at Lewisville, TX. This role involves stocking, selling eyewear, assisting members, and handling orders with attention to detail and HIPAA-compliant processes.

You will measure pupillary distance, assist with lens fitting and frame repairs, and operate POS for member transactions, while adhering to state and company policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent upon job entry or within 12 months of hire in order to sit for ABO exam.
• Meet the requirements to work as Optical associate (minimum age, qualification, registration, certification, and/or licensure as applicable).
• Experience in retail or health care settings is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains product displays and stocks merchandise in the Optical area.
• Sells Optical products and services, assists customers with decisions, and processes eyewear and contact lens orders.
• Measures pupillary distance and assists in lens selection and fitting; performs frame adjustments and final eyewear inspections.
• Operates POS and processes payments, returns, and refunds following policy.
• Supports OD services and assists with appointments and pre-testing as applicable.
