Job summary

Walmart in Baytown, TX is seeking an Optical Associate to stock, display and manage the Optical area. You will process member purchases at the POS, handle refunds, and maintain merchandise presentation per store policy.

You will educate members on eyewear care, measure pupillary distance, assist with frame and lens orders, and coordinate with labs and optometrists while ensuring HIPAA compliance and accurate paperwork.

Qualifications

• Active ABO certification.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Must obtain optician licensure within required timeframes.

Responsibilities

• Stock and present optical merchandise, price and sign items, and handle returns.
• Care for the Optical area, operate POS, process payments, and handle receipts.
• Assist members with eyewear selection, measurements, and lens orders.
• Conduct final eyewear inspections and coordinate with labs/optometrists.
• Maintain HIPAA-compliant records and process insurance claims.
• Participate in trainings and pursue required certification/licensure.
