Job summary

The Optical Specialist at Eyeglass World delivers warm, confident service, guiding customers through eyewear selection, fittings, and pickup to ensure a seamless in-store experience. This role supports exam flow and finishes eyewear to brand standards while maintaining a polished, customer-centric environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent (Required).
• 1+ year experience in optical, retail, sales, or customer service (Required).
• Strong multitasking, time management and organizational skills (Required).
• Clear communication and the ability to educate customers effectively (Required).
• Ability to prioritize customer satisfaction at every interaction (Required).
• Bilingual abilities (Preferred).

Responsibilities

• Create an Exceptional Customer Experience: Deliver warm, confident, and personalized service at every stage of the visit.
• Guide customers through eyewear selection, final fitting, and product education.
• Ensure customers leave feeling confident in both their eyewear and their experience.
• Support Clinical & In Store Flow: Assist with patient flow and pre exam screenings to support Optometrists.
• Help ensure smooth transitions between exam, finish, and pickup moments.
• Serve as a calm, knowledgeable presence throughout the customer journey.
• Own Finish & Quality Excellence: Perform finishing work including final adjustments, inspections and quality checks.
• Ensure all eyewear meets Eyeglass World standards for fit, function, and presentation.
• Prepare orders for pickup and deliver polished, brand aligned handoff.
• Operate with Precision & Care: Support order entry, tracking, and timely completion.
• Maintain organized, clean, and efficient finish and retail areas.
• Identify and resolve quality or service issues proactively.
• Bring the Brand to Life: Model Eyeglass World service standards, tone, and behaviors in every interaction.
• Uphold visual, experiential, and operational brand standards in the store.
• Partner with the store team to deliver a consistent and elevated experience.
