Job summary

Shopko Optical in Hales corners, WI is seeking a Full-time Optical Sales Associate to join our team. The role focuses on providing excellent customer and patient service in selecting, ordering and dispensing eyewear, while supporting pre-screening and lab work, and handling billing information.

On-the-job training is provided; prior experience is helpful but not required, and opportunities for certification are available as part of the role.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or equivalent.
• Maintain license as required by state.
• Shopko OCE Certification requirements to become certified.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer and patient service according to company and Optical Center standards.
• Recommend lenses, coatings and frames to satisfy patient needs.
• Assist patients in selecting frames based on style, color, facial measurements and prescriptions.
• Order and dispense eyewear accurately and professionally.
• Assist patients with frame repairs and adjustments.
• Instruct patients on contact lens care and insertion.
• Assist Optometrist with case histories and screenings.
