Job summary

Shopko Optical in Holmen, WI seeks a part-time Optical Sales Associate to deliver exceptional patient and customer service in eyewear selection, ordering and dispensing. On-the-job training is provided; no prior experience required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or pursuing.
• Maintain license as required by state.
• Shopko OCE Certification requirements and calendar modules completion.
• Previous experience in office and/or optical dispensing preferred.
• Ability to handle multiple customer interactions and calls.
• Ability to analyze prescriptions, perform repairs and lifestyle dispensing.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer and patient service according to company and Optical Center standards.
• Analyze patient eyewear needs.
• Recommend lenses, coatings and frames to satisfy patient needs.
• Assist patients in selecting frames according to style and facial features.
• Order and dispense eyewear accurately and professionally.
• Assist patients with frame repairs and adjustments.
• Instruct patients on proper contact lens care.
• Assist Optometrist with case histories and screenings.
