Job summary

Visionworks is seeking a General Manager to lead both people and the business at our New Jersey locations. You will drive profitability while ensuring an exceptional patient and customer journey from doctor appointment to eyewear pickup.

The role emphasizes coaching and developing the service-driven team, managing daily traffic, scheduling, and aligning store operations with financial and customer experience goals. Strong leadership and optical experience are highly valued.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Three or more years of related experience are required.
• Optical management experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maximize the store's profitability without compromising the patient/customer experience by setting and exceeding the organization's financial and performance goals.
• Engage regularly with the Doctor to touch base on business needs, associates and patient/customer experience.
• Prep and plan business for the day by managing incoming traffic, doctor appointments, and scheduled eyewear services.
• Hire, train, coach, develop and support store associates to perform in their respective roles with excellence to ensure a flawless patient/customer experience.
• Remove obstacles and find resolution in the patient/customer experience when needed.
• Lead, execute and improve all broad operational activities to meet the store's financial and customer experience goals.
