Job summary

National Vision is seeking an experienced Process Engineer / Engineering Manager to lead the optical manufacturing lab in Plano, TX. The role emphasizes continuous improvement, project management, and standardization of processes across people and equipment.

You will drive testing, supplier collaboration, cost reductions, and staff training while ensuring product quality before production releases and reporting to the lab leadership team.

Qualifications

• Analytical thinker capable of data analysis and problem solving.
• Develops cost-saving procedures to increase efficiency.
• Communicates clearly in written and oral form.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates supplier data to improve PM and maintenance and reduce breakage.
• Sets up testing for new consumables and products and captures historical data.
• Creates a validated consumable list with multiple suppliers to reduce costs.
• Manages AR and drop ball testing; schedules samples and reports results.
• Coordinates with LMS/IT to keep systems updated and generate monthly/quarterly reports.
• Oversees installation of new equipment and ensures product quality before release to production.
• Trains staff and updates LMS training documents.
• Collaborates with QA and other labs to share best practices.
