Job summary

National Vision Holdings, Inc. in Plano, TX seeks an experienced Process Engineer | Engineering Manager to lead continuous improvement, project management and standardization of lab processes and equipment.

The role focuses on improving maintenance, testing, supplier coordination and cost reduction while ensuring quality before production release. Collaboration across labs and IT supports ongoing system updates.

Qualifications

• Four year college degree or equivalent experience.
• 2-4 years experience in manufacturing responsible for process improvement.
• 2-4 years project management experience.
• Optical manufacturing/production experience is necessary.
• Technical and mechanically inclined; familiarity with industrial/optical manufacturing equipment
• Intermediate knowledge of MS Office including Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates data captured by the supplier pertaining to both process and equipment to help supervisors improve PM and maintenance.
• Sets up testing for new consumables and products, ensures testing is organized and historical data captured.
• Creates a validated consumable list to enable multiple suppliers and reduce costs.
• Manages AR and drop ball testing; schedules samples and reports results.
• Works with LMS to ensure systems are up to date; uses IT to request approvals and closes out.
• Oversees installation of new equipment; verifies quality of product before release to production.
• Evaluates maintenance costs, corrective actions and PM schedules to reduce costs and PM frequency.
• Trains staff and updates LMS training documents.
