Job summary

ASML US seeks an Optical/Optomechanical NPI Engineer to drive supplier collaboration from early involvement through product maturity. You will work with D&E teams to leverage supplier technology and integrate processes to industrialize optical components for ASML projects.

Responsibilities include securing supplier qualification, ensuring design quality, and documenting SoW. Occasional travel and on-site collaboration are expected in Wilton, CT.

Qualifications

• Experience as an experienced designer or process engineer with Six Sigma Green or Black belt.
• Manufacturing techniques including optical design, fabrication and polishing, optical materials, coatings, and precision measurement.
• Experience in at least one of: Precision mechanics, opto-mechanics, electro-mechanics, laser modules.
• Experience with new product introduction in a technically driven field.
• Technical improvement projects in supply chain operations.
• Value engineering and cost‑reduction projects.
• Working with suppliers on technical/manufacturing process development including mFLOW, PFMEA, SPC, RCA.

Responsibilities

• Early supplier involvement in D&E projects to merge technology expertise with co-development.
• Ensure design phase covers part quality, manufacturability and serviceability.
• Document D&E collaboration via a Statement of Work (SoW).
• Support and own new product introduction (NPI) and supplier selection/engagement.
• Deliverables: complete part qualification, qualified parts, process flow and FMEA, first article inspection.
• Travel approximately 20% for escalations and supplier engagement.
• Define and maintain supplier interface processes like issue resolution and configuration management.
• Contribute to supplier development and audits.
