Job summary

Amazon is seeking highly skilled Optical Network Engineers for the ADC Network Scaling and Deployment team in Seattle. You will drive the expansion of AWS’s next-generation IP network infrastructure, implementing automation to reduce manual operations and support scalable, secure data center networks.

The role requires leadership in large-scale projects, on-call support, and on-site work for critical events.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
• Knowledge of IP networking fundamentals and extensive experience in applying IP protocols.
• Knowledge of network analysis fundamentals and robust troubleshooting.
• 1+ years of experience with optical protocols and technologies.
• 1+ years of hands-on experience in optical system and network design.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, design, and execution of large-scale network scaling and build projects with HLD/LLD reviews and BOM assessments.
• Drive automated deployment and provisioning using custom automation frameworks across AWS ADC regions.
