Corning is seeking an Optical Manufacturing Technician for Fairport, NY. You will join specialized teams supporting the production of advanced optical products on 2nd, 3rd, and weekend shifts.

The role involves following instructions, operating coating and fabrication equipment, and ensuring quality measurements meet specifications. You’ll work in a modern facility with a focus on precision and safety, with shift differentials of $2/hr for 2nd shift and $3/hr for 3rd shift.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years experience in precision manufacturing, assembly, or related field preferred.
• This position does not support immigration sponsorship.

Responsabilités

• Follow work instructions, manufacturing procedures, and safety requirements.
• Operate manufacturing, fabrication, assembly, inspection, and/or coating equipment.
• Interpret blueprints, specifications, and production documentation.
• Perform quality tests, measurements, inspections, and data collection.
• Monitor processes and make adjustments within established guidelines.
• Troubleshoot equipment and process issues.
