Job summary

CACI International Inc. is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Technician in Orlando, FL to support development and production of optical communication terminals for space-based defense applications.

You will collaborate with engineering teams, assist in work instruction redlines, and help develop test procedures and fixtures while diagnosing complex EO system issues. A strong manufacturing background and CAD experience are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering Technology, Photonics, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
• US citizenship required for contract work.
• Minimum of 5 years hands-on experience as an electronics technician or engineering technician.
• Experience with optical/electro-optical test stations/equipment.
• Experience with CAD Software (SolidWorks).
• Experience supporting engineering teams in product development or manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to engineering and development teams throughout product development and production phases.
• Collaborate with engineers to develop and refine reworks and troubleshooting guides.
• Assist engineers and manufacturing engineers with work instruction redlines and ECR/ECO process.
• Support test engineers in developing improvements of test procedures.
• Diagnose and resolve complex issues in EO systems down to the component level.
• Identify root causes of performance issues and implement effective solutions.
• Support with fixture design and implementation.
• Document test failures and provide detailed analysis.
