Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 3+ years in a lab or industry setting.
• Desire to learn and work in a hands-on role.
• Detail oriented, meticulous and patient working style.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen due to government contracts.

Responsibilities

• Follow written/verbal instructions with high attention to detail for lab tasks.
• Support development of new processes, tools and techniques with the Engineering team.
• Carefully weigh and mix ingredients for lab samples.
• Operate computer systems for testing and data capture.
• Diagnose and resolve electronics issues like wiring faults or malfunctions.
• Participate in R&D problem-solving with an open mind.
• Visually inspect optics for cleanliness/defects using a microscope.
• Clean optical components, wash glassware, and maintain lab space.
• Follow safety protocols and contribute to safety culture.
