Job summary

ABB Optical Group is seeking an entry-level Lab Technician to process products in a climate-controlled manufacturing facility. You will perform core tasks with other duties as business needs dictate, while following documented SOPs and safety guidelines.

The role emphasizes learning within the Digital Eye Lab, with six months of skills assessment to demonstrate proficiency and contribute to team goals. Overtime may be required to meet production needs.

Qualifications

• Entry-level position with no specific prior work experience required.
• Ability to follow procedures and work independently or as part of a team.
• Proficient after six months with skills assessment to determine proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Use tracing machine to measure frames, print and match paperwork, and place frames in correct trays.
• Invoice and package finished jobs; scan and bin into proper customer boxes for shipping.
• Sort and receive frames; place in appropriate colored trays for processing.
• Operate finishing equipment and align lenses in frames using precision hand tools.
• Edge and tint lenses, inspect for quality, and verify tint axes as required.
• Maintain clean, organized work area and comply with safety guidelines.
