Job summary

CT19, incorporated seeks a hands-on Laser Technician / Engineer to join its growing R&D team. You will work in the laboratory with infrared gas laser systems, supporting development, testing and optimisation for potential commercial applications.

This role is not desk-bound; you will assemble, align, calibrate and test sophisticated laser hardware, troubleshoot issues and contribute to ongoing system improvements, while maintaining strong lab safety practices and owning Laser Safety Officer

Qualifications

Hands-on experience with lasers, optics or precision equipment in lab or industrial settings.
Knowledge of laser alignment, optical diagnostics, calibration, and troubleshooting.
Experience with CO2 lasers or infrared gas lasers is advantageous.
A technical degree or equivalent hands-on lab experience is welcome.

Responsibilities

Assemble, align, calibrate, test and troubleshoot infrared laser systems in the lab.
Support experimental setups, investigate performance issues, and contribute to improvements.
Work with engineers and scientists to turn experimental tech into commercially viable solutions.
Take ownership of laboratory laser safety, including serving as Laser Safety Officer.
