Job summary

Teledyne FLIR Defense in the United States seeks a technician to troubleshoot, refurbish, and rework optical sub-assemblies and to perform advanced alignments of imaging modules and camera systems, supporting the repair of FLIR Imaging Systems products.

Under general supervision, you will aid in meeting repair turnaround times and customer satisfaction, develop standard repair procedures, and provide technical support for spare parts inventory.

Qualifications

Job Description

Job Summary:

Undergeneral supervision, this individual will perform troubleshooting, cleaning, rework and refurbishment of optical sub-assemblies. The position will also perform next level assembly alignments of imaging modules and camera systems, supporting the successful repair and maintenance of Teledyne FLIR Systems products.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine rebuild, testing and refurbishment of optical sub-assemblies related to FLIR Imaging Systems using appropriate documentation and drawings.
  • Work as a member of the service team to meet department goals related to repair turnaround times and customer satisfaction.
  • Assist in developing standard repair and rebuild procedures which will be documented to company and ISO standards.
  • Provide technical support in the development of customer service spare parts inventory, including establishing requirements for contents and quantities.
  • Effectively provide internal customer support regarding technical repair issues when required.
  • Provide accurate repair estimate details which include labor, material and timeline requirements.
  • Performs other job related duties as required.

Job Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1-2 years of prior work experience in a related field required
  • Solder certifications strongly preferred.
  • Certificate(s) in optics/electronics or equivalent preferred.
  • Strong electro-mechanical troubleshooting skills and proficiency using electronic test equipment desired.
  • A good working knowledge of computers, computer peripherals and programs.
  • Able and willing to lift a minimum of 45 pounds unassisted as needed.

Salary Range:

$44,500.00-$59,300.000

The anticipated salary range listed for this role is only an estimate.
