Job summary

Teledyne FLIR Defense is seeking a skilled technician to perform technical build, test, and process of Teledyne Ranger HDC-MR camera systems in support of all production phases.

You will conduct system level functional and optical testing, troubleshoot sub-assemblies and finished cameras, interface with production and quality teams, and help maintain test fixtures and documentation.

Qualifications

• AS degree in electronics or technical equivalent with 3+ years related technical experience within a high-tech manufacturing environment.
• Technical versatility: electrical, mechanical, optical alignment testing, IR testing experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform system level functional and optical performance testing and troubleshooting on a variety of challenging surveillance/defense sub-assemblies and finished end-product camera systems.
• Test camera systems and critical sub-assembly components in accordance to manufacturing test specifications, (test instructions, test data sheets, functional ATPs, optical alignment performance criteria and system discrepancy reporting).
• Interface with production team and technical support staff to maintain manufacturing quality and efficiency while actively participating in day-to-day manufacturing goals.
• Inspect and verify all daily work to ensure it is performed accurately and efficiently, according to all quality performance specifications.
• Interface with technical team to ensure all manufacturing test methods are standardized and documented to the latest versions.
• Support the maintenance of test fixtures and test equipment.
• As directed, provide support in test process improvement projects.

Job Summary

Job Qualifications

• Troubleshooting skills and proficiency with set up and usage of test and alignment equipment.
• Proficiency in use of windows-based Office applications, optical test SFW and MES SFW for accessing digital work instructions, test data collection, traceability, reporting and communication.
• Practical problem-solving skills.
• Attention to technical details.
• Ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing.
• Collaboration, teamwork, and ability to contribute independently.

Salary Range

$44,500.00-$59,300.000

The anticipated salary range listed for this role is only an estimate. Actual compensation for successful candidates is carefully determined based on several factors including, but not limited to, location, local regulations (such as minimum wage), education/training, work experience, key skills, and type of position.
