Job summary

LIGHTERA in Norcross, GA is seeking a Quality Systems Leader to guide QA/QC across our optical fiber manufacturing facility. You will drive KPIs, lead continuous improvement, and champion ISO 9001/TL 9000 compliance while mentoring engineers and leaders.

The role requires a engineering degree, 5–7 years of manufacturing leadership with quality focus, and strong communication. This is a full-time on-site position with competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering is required.
• MBA or master's degree is preferred.
• 5–7 years of manufacturing leadership with significant quality experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organization skills with ability to lead multiple projects.
• Computer skills: Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Establish, track and set improvement goals for department and plant quality KPIs (customer complaints, DPMO, fiber yield).
• Lead roadmap to meet quality goals: Kaizens, capital projects, design improvements.
• Develop CAPA processes; train engineers on methodology; ensure sustained improvements.
• Ensure ISO 9001, TL 9000 compliance; support ISO 14001 via internal audit program.
• Develop improved processes for non-conformance management, document control, and engineering change management.
• Familiarity with continuous process manufacturing.
• Proficiency in quality mgmt systems, ISO 9001, Lean, Six Sigma, and statistics.
