Job summary

CACI International is seeking an Optical Fabrication Engineer to join our Engineering team working on a wide variety of Aerospace products. You will produce optical components from diverse substrates and support Manufacturing Operations on the production floor, applying GD&T and CAD skills.

You will drive a product line from start to finish, develop tooling and fixtures, perform CAD modeling and drawings, and contribute to work instructions and process documentation.

Qualifications

• Degreed engineer with CAD design experience.
• Experience with GD&T tolerance stack up analysis.
• Experience with technical writing for work instructions.
• Basic familiarity with manufacturing processes.
• Basic background in Materials Science.

Responsibilities

• Driving a product line from start to finish through the manufacturing and assembly process.
• Working hands on with floor operations in optical fabrication and optical assembly manufacturing areas.
• Supporting the engineering team with CAD modeling and drawings.
• Supporting the engineering team with technical writing for work instructions and process documentation.
• Presenting ideas to fellow engineers and program management.
