Job summary

CACI International Inc. in Danbury, CT is seeking an Optical Fabrication Engineer to drive a manufacturing line for aerospace optical components, from design through assembly, on the production floor.

You will collaborate with fellow engineers and operations to ensure quality and on-time delivery. Responsibilities include hands-on optical fabrication and assembly, CAD modeling, GD&T analysis, and preparing work instructions.

Qualifications

  • Degreed engineer with foundational knowledge in mechanical design.
  • Experience in mechanical CAD design and 3D modeling.
  • Ability to perform GD&T tolerance analysis and interpret results.
  • Ability to write clear work instructions and process documents.
  • Familiarity with basic manufacturing processes and materials science.

Responsibilities

  • Drive a product line from start to finish through fabrication and assembly.
  • Work hands-on on optical fabrication and assembly floor.
  • Support engineering with CAD modeling and drawings.
  • Create technical work instructions and process documentation.
  • Present ideas to engineers and program management.
