Job summary

CACI International Inc invites a Project Engineer to drive successful product introduction and lifecycle management of space-oriented optical/electro‑opto systems. You will lead cross-functional teams spanning optical, mechanical, electrical, and thermal subsystems, translating requirements into manufacturable plans.

The role emphasizes hands-on technical leadership, DFMEA/DFM, and process optimization across aerospace environments, with a focus on design for manufacturability and readiness

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical discipline required.
• 5+ years in product lifecycle or manufacturing engineering for complex projects.
• Demonstrated systems engineering across multiple disciplines.
• Proficiency with CAD (SolidWorks/CREO), PLM, data analysis tools and GD&T.
• Experience with precision manufacturing processes and aerospace/space environments.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure DFM and DFA for multi-disciplinary assemblies.
• Lead pilot builds, IQ/OQ/PQ validations, and production transfer activities.
• Own end-to-end manufacturing process development and lifecycle management.
• Lead lifecycle phases from NPI through production ramp and end-of-life.
• Develop and manage project plans with schedules, risks, and mitigations.
• Translate requirements into actionable technical directions for manufacturing teams.
• Perform root-cause analysis during ramp-up and resolve manufacturing challenges.
• Develop operator training strategies for precision assembly and verification.
