Responsibilities

• Develop optical test instrumentation for emerging markets within semiconductor test, including imaging systems, illumination sources, optical sensors, and fiber-optics, along with motion systems, cameras, and image-analysis software.
• Define, implement and validate complex automated test equipment that interfaces optical ports of silicon photonic devices at all stages of fabrication, from wafer probe to packaged test.
• Define requirements and system specifications for optical test systems and opto-mechanical architecture in collaboration with the customer
• Develop opto-mechanical architecture
• Development optical assemblies including custom imaging lenses and fiber-optic instrumentation

Education/Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Optical Engineering, Physics or related discipline; master’s degree is preferred; certifications in optical engineering are a plus

• 10+ years experience in optical engineering with a focus on developing innovative technical solutions and getting products to market

• Semiconductor testing knowledge and knowledge of silicon photonics is required.
