Gateway Ophthalmology in Jamestown, NY, seeks an Optician to provide quality optical care and friendly service to a diverse patient base, including pediatric to adult.

You will assist with eyeglasses ordering and fittings, demonstrate product knowledge, and ensure prescriptions are accurately translated into lenses and frames. ABO certification and 2+ years eyecare experience required; High School Diploma or GED is required.

Formación

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• ABO Certification preferred.
• Minimum 2 years eyecare experience required.
• Associates or equivalent education and on-the-job training or post-secondary education.

Responsabilidades

• Interpret prescriptions written by ophthalmologists and optometrists.
• Assist patients with eyeglasses ordering and fittings.
• Explain lens options, coatings, and frame selections to patients.
• Measure pupillary distance and other ocular measurements for accurate fits.
• Mount lenses and adjust frames for proper fit.
• Sell and dispense contact lenses under supervision and place orders.
