EyeSouth Partners is seeking an experienced Optician for our Gateway Ophthalmology location in Jamestown, NY. You will guide patients in selecting frames, lens options and ensure precise measurements align with prescriptions.

Responsibilities include educating on lens features, processing orders, and maintaining patient records, with emphasis on accuracy, HIPAA compliance, and excellent service.

Competenze

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required and licensing preferred.
• Dispensing Optician License is required.
• Minimum 5 years of opticianry experience is expected.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality are important.

Mansioni

• Greet customers and assist with selecting frames per prescription and lifestyle needs.
• Educate patients on lens materials, coatings, and technologies.
• Explain pricing, warranties, and insurance coverage for eyewear.
• Read and interpret optical prescriptions from eye care professionals.
• Take precise measurements (PD, segment height, multifocal alignment).
• Ensure proper frame fit and adjust for comfort and alignment.
• Submit and track eyewear orders with lab partners; inspect finished glasses.
