Job summary

Sam's Club in Fort Worth, TX is seeking an Optical Associate, Non-Certified to support the Optical area and member services. This role includes merchandising, eyewear fitting, and assisting with prescriptions and lab communications.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent and be willing to obtain ABO certification within 15 months; state licensure requirements must also be pursued as applicable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required; ABO exam eligibility and ABO certification within 15 months of hire.
• Must meet state licensure requirements to become an apprentice optician and obtain licensure within 3 months of completing minimum apprenticeship hours.
• Willingness and ability to register and maintain ABO/NPI as required by state law.
• Experience in health-care or retail settings is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains eyewear displays and merchandising; handles pricing, signing, and stock in Optical area.
• Educates members on eyewear usage and care; supports contact lens procedures and frame/lens adjustments.
• Operates POS and processes member purchases, returns, and payments; assists with order processing and lab communications.
