Job summary

Walmart Optical Team in Columbia, MO is seeking a part-time associate to maintain merchandise presentation and assist members with eyewear, lenses and contact lenses. You will stock the Optical area, process sales and refunds through the POS system, and ensure accurate prescription information and paperwork.

Responsibilities include measuring pupillary distance, performing basic frame adjustments, and coordinating with labs and optometrists for product updates.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent upon job entry or within 12 months of hire in order to sit for ABO exam.
• Experience with eyewear sales and handling patient prescriptions is preferred.
• Strong customer service orientation with ability to educate members on eyewear usage.

Responsibilities

• Stocking and merchandising in the Optical area.
• Assist members with eyewear purchases, frame adjustments, and lens orders.
• Process optical orders and payments, and support lab communications as needed.
• Maintain HIPAA-compliant records and assist in appointments as required by state regulations.
