Job summary

Sam’s Club Optical Associate, Non-Certified in Glen Carbon, IL, provides member eyewear assistance, measures pupillary distance, and helps with frames and lenses while handling orders and payments. You’ll stock the Optical area, ensure proper displays, and support OD services under supervision.

This full-time role requires a high school diploma and ABO certification within 15 months, with opportunity to obtain state licensure where required. Competitive pay and benefits available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent upon job entry or within 12 months to sit for ABO exam.
• Must obtain ABO certification within 15 months of hire or job entry.
• Must meet state requirements to become an apprentice/licensed optician and obtain licensure within specified timelines.

Responsibilities

• Stock, price and present merchandise in the Optical area.
• Assist members with eyewear selection, measurements and fitting, and process eyewear and contact lens orders.
• Perform final inspection of eyewear and support lab communications as needed.
