Job summary

CJ Logistics Talent Team seeks an Operations Training Lead to own training quality across the logistics center network. You will build a bench of certified trainers, roll out standardized learning plans, and support new site startups and system conversions.

This role requires travel between locations to onboard staff, stabilize performance, and audit compliance, with up to 75% travel and hybrid work options in Des Plaines, Illinois.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in operations training or multi-site learning & development.
• Hands-on proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) training.
• Ability to lead diverse training sessions and adjust pace to the audience.

Responsibilities

• Grow and maintain the internal trainer network across sites.
• Conduct Train-the-Trainer workshops to set training standards.
• Certify and coach site-based trainers and uphold SOPs.
• Keep SOPs and training materials current and accessible.
• Support digital and mobile learning resources.
• Plan end-to-end training for startups, system conversions, and projects.
• Identify internal trainers for onboarding and technical conversions.
• Run onboarding plans to ensure a consistent new-hire experience.
• Train warehouse roles focusing on safety, accuracy, and productivity.
• Implement formal observations to measure proficiency against SOPs.
• Coach site leaders on performance observations to drive improvement.
• Analyze performance data with HR/Operations to close gaps.
• Conduct annual training and compliance audits at each site.
• Deliver audit reports and work with Site GMs to close gaps.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
