Job summary

Federal Express Corporation seeks an Operations Supervisor to guide a staff in the safe, efficient sortation of packages within the facility. You will oversee daily operations, manage employees and administrative tasks, and drive performance improvements while ensuring compliance with FXG policies and government regulations.

You will hire, coach, train, and mentor staff, lead daily briefings, and collaborate with other departments to optimize workflow and safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Certification program or Associate's degree or 2+ years toward a degree acceptable in lieu of experience.
• Six months of supervisory or package handler experience in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Hire, coach, train, recognize and evaluate staff performance.
• Plan, organize, staff, direct and control day-to-day operations.
• Assign and manage employees to ensure safe, efficient sortation and tracking of packages.
• Analyze performance and implement improvements to key metrics.
• Lead daily meetings and communicate operating updates to teams.
• Develop employee relations and safety programs and ensure compliance with FXG policies.
• Train new staff on duties and standards including QA, SWAK and dock safety.
• Mentor junior supervisors and adapt quickly to change.
