Job summary

Phillips & Temro Industries in Minnesota is seeking a Production Supervisor to coordinate production work orders, manage materials and equipment availability, and assign tasks to a skilled team on the factory floor.

You will collaborate with Manufacturing Management, Quality, Supply Chain, and HR to maintain safety standards, drive Continuous Improvement, and train staff as needed. This full-time role offers competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Progressive experience in factory operations and/or supervision.
• Strong communication and organizational skills are required.
• Willingness to work in a manufacturing environment and adhere to safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate production work orders with material and equipment availability, employee count, and order due-dates; assign tasks to employees and ensure materials/equipment are available.
• Provide technical advice and ensure accuracy of production operations.
• Communicate with Staff and Management on work plan and responsibilities; resolve production problems promptly.
• Serve as key contact between production floor activities and various departments (Engineering, Quality, Customer Service, Planning, Supply Chain, HR).
• Champion Lean and Continuous Improvement projects; provide training and coaching with Manufacturing Manager.
• Document and keep employee training records current; address employee problems with HR support.
• Communicate safety policies; ensure safe work environments; coordinate 5S and housekeeping.
• Ensure smooth flow of products through cooperation with other supervisors; participate in hiring processes.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
