Job summary

Talus Development is seeking an Ops Fiber Technician I in Phoenix, AZ to install and splice fiber cables, read splice details, and perform tests with OTDR and power meters. The role requires physical capability to lift and work on outdoor sites, with a focus on safety and accuracy.

The candidate will prep fiber runs, handle enclosures, and document as-built data while adhering to industry standards and site safety requirements.

Qualifications

• Requires valid Arizona driver license and clean driving record.
• Experience in fiber optics or related field (OSP) preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs and work at construction sites.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and install fiber cables into enclosures; both new and existing.
• Fusion splice fibers per customer specifications.
• Troubleshoot down to component level using traces/testing results.
• Read splice details and complete as-built documentation.
